Its Never too Late to Entertain a Dream...

     For a long time I have had a secret dream to become a photographer.  Deep down I longed to be able to capture emotion and the essence of a personality through a single photo.  I never had the guts to actually do anything about this aspiration for fear that I might not be very good.  I used excuses like "I don't have time" or "I can't afford a good camera".  But really I was just insecure.  All of this changed when I met my now husband David.  He has taught me that if I want to do something I should do it.  If I have a dream I should go after it.

For my 20th birthday, in September last year, David bought me a Canon Rebel XS Digital SLR camera.  Ever since then, photography has become my hidden hobby.  I have slowly nutured my abilities and gained confidence in myself over the past few months.

When the camera came in the mail, I went over to David's house and spent my afternoon taking a few pictures.  After finding my way around Adobe Lightroom I was able to produce my first note-worthy photos.  I am actually quite pleased.  Here's to the beginning of a long-awaited dream.  I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy taking them.
